From scraps to sheets - free creative papermaking workshop
/Get creative with your recycling and learn how to turn scrap paper and junk mail into hand-made paper with Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility’s free workshop on Monday 27 October.
The workshop designed for children aged 7-15 and accompanying adults, will teach participants that making paper is easier than you’d think. While showing that recycling can be a fun and creative activity, it also highlights the importance of the 4Rs of waste: reduce, reuse, recycle and recovery.
The session, ideal for beginners, will run for approximately an hour and a half and is being held at the Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility’s Education and Visitor Centre. All supplies for the workshop will be provided by the facility including free drinks.
Melanie de la Torre Zamora, Community Relationship Manager at the Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility, shared: “This workshop is part of our programme of free activities we plan throughout the year. We are committed to educating our community about sustainable practices in a fun and creative way.”
