What Waste is Accepted?
The Facility receives Gloucestershire County’s household residual waste, non-hazardous waste that has not been recycled or reused, and has been either collected by the District Councils or taken to Household Recycling Centres. In addition, it also accepts waste of a similar composition from commercial businesses.
Certain waste materials cannot, and will not, be accepted by the Facility.
These include:
Heavy stone and metal, or demolition waste.
Clinical waste.
Radioactive waste.
Explosives.
Asbestos and hazardous waste.
Concentration of PVC.
Liquid waste.
Drum waste.
Gas bottles.
Tyres or car batteries.
Plasterboard.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
Animal carcasses and slaughterhouse waste.
Human remains.
Fine dusty material loads.
Industrial sewage/sludge.
