Community Liaison Group
We have an active Community Liaison Group (CLG) that meets regularly on site to review progress, and discuss issues of interest. The CLG comprises representatives of immediate local Parish Councils*, District and County Council members, and our immediate local residents. Representatives from Urbaser, the Waste Planning Authority, Waste Disposal Authority, Environment Agency, and District Environmental Health Authority also attend.
The CLG provides the main focus of information exchange between the company and the community. A district councillor was elected as chairperson for the CLG and is supported by the CLG Clerk, a local Parish Councillor.
Members of the CLG have volunteered to become part of the committee of community representatives who have set the criteria for Community Fund applications, and are responsible for the evaluation and decision making process.
The meetings are not open to the public but minutes of the proceedings are published below. In addition, the local representatives are expected to relate information back to their constituents.

*Parish Councils currently attending CLG meetings are Hunts Grove, Hardwicke, Haresfield, Harescombe, Brookthorpe-with-Whaddon, Moreton Valence, Standish, Whitminster, and Quedgeley. Local County Council and District Council members also attend. Please contact your local representative if you would like an issue raised at CLG.
