Recycling and Recovery
The waste management tools of recycling and recovery work together in the waste hierarchy, as local councils promote and encourage collection and recycling of waste through kerbside collections and Household Recycling Centres. Materials that cannot be readily recycled (residual waste) are then directed to facilities for the recovery of value.
