Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility announces planned annual maintenance outage for 2025
/Commercial waste deliveries will be temporarily suspended as the Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility enters its annual planned maintenance outage on Sunday 7 September.
The maintenance period will last approximately three weeks while inspections, maintenance, and cleaning takes place. All household residual waste deliveries will continue as usual.

The essential work taking place during this shut down period will further enhance the facility’s reliability ensuring that operations continue to run efficiently and in full compliance with environmental standards set by the Environment Agency. By maintaining the highest operational standards, Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility continues to play an important role in waste management and energy production for the region.
In keeping with the facility's commitment to transparency and community engagement, representatives from the Community Liaison Group and Gloucestershire County Council have been informed of the maintenance outage. This proactive communication ensures that the local community is fully aware of the activities taking place and can plan accordingly.
