Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility opening doors to public
/Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility is opening its doors to the public for its annual spring open day on Saturday 14 March.
Visitors must pre-book a space on one of the three tours taking place on the day for a chance to see behind the scenes of how the facility operates.

The tours will provide an insight into the energy from waste process and visitors will be guided through key areas of the facility to learn how it operates within its commitment to sustainable waste management, energy recovery and reducing landfill use.
Three one-hour sessions are available starting at 10am, 11:30am, and 1pm. Each tour will have a maximum of 15 people and places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Rob Hayward, General Manager of the Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility, said: “We hold these open days twice a year and really enjoy engaging with the local community. We’re pleased to welcome in visitors showcasing the Facility’s processes and highlighting and sharing the environmental benefits of energy from waste.”
