Family Scavenger Hunt returns at Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility

Returning to the Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility’s visitor centre garden this summer is the popular Scavenger Hunt.

Children and accompanying adults are invited to join the Scavenger Hunt on Monday 17 August at 10am where they will be tasked to hunt out plants and wildlife for education and fun.

This free event for children aged 5-12 (with an accompanying adult) will provide an inspiring and creative platform to explore and enjoy the great outdoors. Expect to discover lots of insects, birds, and plant species.

Melanie de la Torre Zamora, Community Relationship Manager at FCC Environment, said: “This event is a highlight of our year. We work hard to make sure the grounds around the Facility are a welcoming and safe habitat for wildlife to thrive and we’re proud to be able to use this as a space to inspire and educate young minds about protecting the environment for years to come.”
