Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility reveals the date for its next open day
/The Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility will host its next open day on Saturday 4th of November 2023. Following the success of the previous, fully booked events, the open day will once again give visitors the opportunity to learn about the energy from waste process and provide a chance to see the plant and on-site equipment first-hand.
The three, one-hour sessions, intended for small groups such as families, couples and friends, will host a maximum of 15 people. The sessions will occur at 10am, 11:30am, and 1pm, and will include a tour of the site. Visitors will be invited to view the different elements of the energy from waste process, including the waste cranes, the combustion grate, and the stack. Allocation of places will be made on a first come, first serve basis.
This open day will be the latest event held at the Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility to inform the public on the processes involved in energy recovery, recycling household residual waste, and diverting waste from landfill.

It’s important that we help inform the local community about the benefits of energy from waste and sustainable waste management.
