COVID-19 Statement
/In response to COVID-19, Urbaser Balfour Beatty have issued the following statement in relation to the visitor centre and ongoing operations at the Gloucestershire Energy from Waste facility:
“The health and safety of our employees, the general public and all those who work with and for us is always our priority. Following UK Government advice about COVID-19, Urbaser Balfour Beatty and Gloucestershire County Council have decided to close the Visitor Centre from Monday 23rd March until further notice.
“We can confirm that the Energy from Waste Facility remains operational and continues to treat Gloucestershire’s residual waste during this time. We ask members of the public to
continue to recycle and using their residual waste bins, as per the instructions provided by their collection authority.
“All previously booked visits, tours and meetings at the visitor centre have been postponed and will be rearranged in due course. Urbaser Balfour Beatty apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
“We continue to be guided by the latest information issued by Public Health England and the UK Government and continue to monitor the situation daily.”
